May 20 (Punjab Khabarnama) : Life has become disrupted due to the scorching heat in the district. The temperature is increasing daily due to the heat of the sun. The Education Department has changed the school timings in big schools in two shifts, but despite all this, students will be seen scorching in the heat of the sun in the coming time.
The department has issued an advisory to school heads and issued guidelines to take special care of the students. Along with this, the department has made it clear that appropriate action will be taken against any private school that does not follow the instructions of the department. According to the information, the heat is increasing daily in Amritsar. The temperature has reached around 45 degrees. The temperature is increasing every day after 10 o’clock, due to which the general public is facing a lot of difficulties in working. On the other hand, even though the education department has fixed school timings from 7 am to 12 noon, students are facing a lot of problems due to the heat of the sun.
District Education Officer Rajesh Kumar said that in view of the heat, instructions have been issued to organize government schools in 2 shifts, the first shift of which will be from 7 to 10 am, while the second shift will be from 10:15 to 1:15 pm. . This order will be applicable to government, private and edited schools. He said that apart from this, school heads have been instructed to organize morning prayer meetings under shade and to make proper arrangements for electricity as well as drinking water for the students. Students should be given tips to protect themselves from heat and made aware about staying indoors during summer. The District Education Officer said that appropriate action will be taken against those who will not follow the orders of the private school department and will set up schools as per their wish.
Holidays falling on 30th should be included first: Parents
Children’s parents Rajinder Sharma Raju and Jai Gopal Lali said that the condition is very bad due to the heat. The faces of the students are getting spoiled due to the heat and many students are falling ill. The Education Department should postpone the holidays on May 30 keeping in mind the heat, because the temperature is expected to rise further in the coming days. The department should take a decision soon, otherwise students may suffer loss of life due to the heat.
People should go out of the house only when necessary, wear light colored clothes
Dr. Naresh Chawla, chief founder of Jiya Foundation, said that the heat is increasing day by day. The heat will increase in the coming time, children and elderly people should come out of the house only when there is work. People should wear light colored clothes and drink as much water as possible. Apart from this, lemon water should also be consumed. Apart from this, people should follow the guidelines of the health department.
