April 30 (Punjab Khabarnama) : State Congress Committee spokesperson Varun Mehta resigned in protest against the Congress Party making State Congress President Raja Vading its candidate from Ludhiana in the Lok Sabha elections, saying that the Congress Party has ignored thousands of Congress leaders and workers of Ludhiana and made itself an outsider candidate. The Ludhiana seat itself has been put in the bag of opposition parties.

Were. Expressing his anger, Mehta said that contesting elections is the right of every leader and worker, but it is very disappointing that the top leadership of the party is adopting a dictatorial attitude by ignoring the leaders and workers of the city.
The same results were seen in the assembly elections also because the leadership always adopts an arbitrary attitude whereas the Congress Party is the oldest political party in which crores of workers kept serving the party selflessly by raising the flag but the A.C. By limiting the organization to room meetings only, today the party has reached a count of only thousands.
Mehta said that despite losing the last Lok Sabha election, Rahul Gandhi himself is marginalizing the organization by taking such wrong decisions instead of strengthening the party. Raja Vading is the state president, he has every right to contest the elections but it would have been better if he was made a candidate from Bathinda, but by making him a candidate from Ludhiana, Ludhiana seat has been deliberately put in the bag of opposition parties. There is immense anger among the workers of Ludhiana due to this decision of the party.
